Dr. Smita Mehta Pediatrics, Board Certified Director of Pediatric Services Dr. Mehta has trained in both India and the United States. She is board certified in Pediatrics. After moving to the United States in 1997, she worked for the CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention), in Atlanta Georgia and with the (WHO) World Health Organization in Nepal. She completed a second residency in Pediatrics at Cook County Hospital in Chicago, Illinois in 2003. Dr. Mehta writes and speaks Spanish fluently.  Dr. Mehta joined MMA in November 2003 and is Mesquites First Board Certified Pediatrician and is the clinic director of pediatrics at MMA.
